Description: Beeswax is secreted by the glands of the honeybee. It is used by the bees to build their honeycomb.
Properties: Beeswax is well known for its soothing, anti-inflammatory and non-allergenic properties. It provides a light barrier to the skin which makes it deeply moisturising. It is widely used in cosmetics, especially balms as it helps to create a semi solid state.
Function in deodorant: oil hardening - consistency stabiliser.
