While bicarb soda is an amazing deodoriser and widely used in natural deodorants, some people can find it a little irritating on sensitive areas like their armpits. Therefore, we developed a 'Sensitive Body' range which contains marine magnesium hydroxide.
This formula is super gentle and a highly effective natural deodoriser, making it perfect for those who have sensitive skin.
Does this deodorant contain bicarb soda?
No. We’ve replaced bicarb soda with magnesium hydroxide, which is 100% naturally derived, and a gentle soothing deodoriser.
Many deodorants give me a rash, will this cause irritation?
We understand many people with sensitive skin find it difficult to find a deodorant that doesn’t cause any irritation. That’s why we formulated our Sensitive Body range. It’s very gentle, yet works a treat at eliminating odour causing bacteria. We use magnesium hydroxide as the main deodoriser, rather than bicarb soda. As with all skincare, we recommend a patch test before use.
How do I apply it?
Simply scoop out a tiny pea-size amount of deodorant balm for each armpit and massage into your clean, dry armpits until it's fully absorbed. Some people use their fingertips, while others prefer to use a reusable deodorant applicator (especially people with long fingertips). We recommend applying it before you get dressed and wait a few moments for it to fully absorb before putting your clothes on.
If you’re extra sweaty and stinky you can apply it at night before bed too.

Do you use synthetic fragrances?
No. We only use 100% pure essential oils from suppliers we trust. Many of the oils are also certified organic.
I am very happy with my Bergamot, Grapefruit & Lime Deodorant Balm in a tube. It is the first time I have used a deodorant tube from Natural Approach although I have used the paste in a tin for many years now. It looks good. It smells good. It is easy to apply. I have had this one before, I was reminded just how lovely it is. The weather has been brutal this summer and nice to know that my deodorant isn't going to let me down. I also discovered a little trick with this one, I woke with an itchy bite the other day on my arm, I put some on the bite when I was applying my deodorant, I didn't notice itch again until that night, I re-applied and the itch totally went away again, multi purpose product.
I've been using these products more than 4 years now. I love them all. The Lemongrass, Lime & Patchouli has a lovely fresh scent. I like that it's natural and not filled with nasty chemicals
